Hey humans,

Tired of software that overpromises and underwhelms? So were we. That’s why we’re kicking off Friendly Robot—a tiny-but-mighty studio here to build tools that do the work without the ego, jargon, or 10-layer corporate approval process.

Based in Sydney (but already working from couches/coffee shops/anywhere with Wi-Fi), we’re all about code that solves real problems. Whether it’s crafting apps that don’t make you want to yeet your laptop or quietly fixing the stuff everyone else half-asses, we’re here to make tech actually useful.

Why we exist:

Because ā€œmove fast and break thingsā€ is a trash motto if you’re the one gluing things back together. Because software should feel like a helpful coworker, not a passive-aggressive roommate. Because someone’s gotta fight for the user. (Spoiler: it’s us.) What’s next? Building, breaking, and rebuilding. Follow along at fbot.dev or just yell into the void—we’ll probably hear you.

Tea’s on us. ā˜•ā†’šŸ«–
